King reappointed as head coach of the SBS Bank Otago Sparks

Otago Cricket has reappointed Nathan King as Head Coach of the SBS Bank Otago Sparks for the 2019-20 season. We are fortunate to have King on board for another season, he brings the depth of experience to the women’s environment.
Manager of Performance and Talent Simon Forde said: “With the growth of women’s cricket it’s great to have a coach of Nathan’s calibre working alongside our group of talented players. He certainly has all of the attributes required to get the best out of them and assist them grow into the next generation of WHITEFERNS. It’s an exciting time to be involved”.
King has been coaching domestic cricket for nine years. He said: “I am extremely excited to be given the chance to lead the SBS Bank Otago Sparks for another summer. Last season we introduced a number of new players and with the loss of some experienced players this will provide some great opportunities for a relatively young and aspiring group.”
The season for the SBS Bank Otago Sparks will start on 16th November. A squad will be named in the coming weeks by King and team preparation will start in September.
