A huge summer of cricket concluded at the annual Otago Cricket Awards last night.
Otago Cricket hosted players, board members, sponsors, match officials, members of the cricketing community and staff to celebrate the success of teams and individuals throughout Otago and Southland.
The awards evening showcased the incredible talent Otago and Southland have to offer through the age group programmes, plus celebrating those who have done an outstanding job in the community this season.
Fresh off being named Dream11 Super Smash Men's Player of the Year and Domestic Men's Player of the Year, Otago Volts all-rounder Dean Foxcroft swept up four men’s awards on Wednesday, including the lucrative Volts Cricketer of the Year award.
Foxcroft finished the domestic season scoring 1103 runs and 20 wickets to cap off a terrific return to the Otago Volts team.
In her second season with the Sparks, Kate Ebrahim took home the top prize of SBS Bank Otago Sparks Cricketer of the Year, a season that saw Ebrahim score 855 runs and take 17 wickets across Super Smash and the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield.
The success of last night's event showcases the incredible talent of our Volts and Sparks teams, plus acknowledging the success of our age group players who we believe will bring a bright future to Otago Cricket.
See the full list of winners below. Once again, congratulations to all our recipients this season.
